A consumer durable is an electronic device that uses electrical circuits that involves components that are active electrically. These include vacuum tubes, transistors, diodes, circuits, optoelectronics, sensors that are associated with passive electrical parts.

Consumer electronics are electronic goods meant for everyday use they can be analog or digital. They are referred to as white goods which are meant for housekeeping tasks, like refrigerator, washing machine, entertainment and communication devices and kitchen devices.

The difference between electrical items and electronic circuit is the electrical circuit. The device cannot take a decision on its own capability. While electronic circuits can make a decision. Consumer electronics contain many devices that can be used at home, or in office. They provided a function now the devices also include mobile, computers that can be moved around from home to office or vice versa. The consumer electronics include Television, DVD player, Refrigerators, Washing machine, Computers, Laptops and Tablets radio receivers, semi conductors,  Plasma and HD TV, Iphone, m-Mac computers, notebooks, cameras, remotes, notebooks, and gaming consoles.
